back.. and I have a question..

As my subject says.. I have a question..

I've been out of the fandom for a while.. well not really out because I'm still updated about the latest news. :D

Just one thing that's bugging me is if there's any changes about the strict rules for subbed videos.. which I don't think there is.. by the way, I'm referring to subbed videos by communities here in LJ like [livejournal.com profile] stormy_team, [livejournal.com profile] jone_records, etc. Subbed videos that's being downloaded by community members are still not allowed to be uploaded to any streaming sites right?

As I said before, I'm sooo into kpop these days and while searching for SHINee and EXO vids on youtube.. I tried searching for Arashi's live performance videos and one of the video result was an old episode of Arashi no Shukudai-kun wherein comedian Nankai Candies are the guest. Here's the link to the video - here. The video was originally subbed by [livejournal.com profile] nyanchan and can now be downloaded from [livejournal.com profile] techni_teddy's LJ.

Just today, while browsing for EXO vids.. I searched for KAT-TUN's live perfomance on THE MUSIC DAY Ongaku no Chikara but.. Again.. one of the video results was an old episode of Cartoon KAT-TUN. Well out of curiosity and because I miss seeing Jin with the other five members, I check out the video only to find that its one of [livejournal.com profile] jone_records subbed videos. I was surprised because this youtube user nhuMai04 has been uploading several CK episodes subbed by JOR.

I've tried to check JOR's LJ to see if there's any rules about subbed vids.. unfortunately can't find one or I'm just lazy to find it. But I assume its the same as other subbing community that uploading subbed videos are not allowed.

So is there any updates about the strict rule for subbed videos??

Johnny’s Entertainment lifts artist photo ban on its official website

Johnny’s Entertainment (the agency for popular idol groups SMAP, TOKIO, Arashi, KAT-TUN, and NEWS, amongst many others) is famous for enforcing a strict “no photo” online policy for their artists. Even the official websites for dramas and movies typically lack cast photos for a Johnny’s actor.

Until recently, Johnny’s artists were either seen as cartoons or silhouettes; some were even missing altogether. However, on February 28th, the ban on photos from the agency’s official website, “Johnny’s net“, was finally lifted. Fans were surprised to see that profile pics and album covers from their artists were uploaded onto the website.
