Just saw the video of Navicci - Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge part at youtube (shared by _usotsuki_ and animesempaigirl  for making me realize that it was also used in Yukan Club (the school) and 0 Goshitsu no Kyaku (the Hotel), didn't notice that it was used in Yukan Club, may be because I've watched the drama almost a year ago.. ^_^

yamap_oukoku asks if this is a replica of The Lockheart Castle in Takayamamura in rural Gunma Prefecture, actually I don't know the answer myself.. I just researched some facts about the Castle.. here, look for the Scottish Castle in Takayamamura ^_^

may be they are just using the front view of the Castle, but the real filming is just on a drama set is the first thing that comes up to my mind, but when I saw this picture.. I think they really filming inside the Castle because this is the same stairs used in AtaDan ^_^

(clearly i found this post a bit late but) for sure they are filming using the actual castle - cause if not, there's no reason for them to make a set that looks exactly like the front of the castle used in so many other drama series; it's not like each story requires the setting to be the same as the other stories =]

in yamanade.. they didn't use the set inside the castle, the staffs made a different set for the living room and the whole "inside the house" setting :)
in atadan.. they both used the setting, outside and inside of the castle :)

that's interesting, thanks for sharing :) i wondered why about yamanade at first but then i guess i can think of speculative reasons - they prob wanted the outside to look like that cuz of the manga and it was probably the closest concept (without having to go out of the country) to get that exterior, but then made the interior different cause the castle's been used by so many dramas already...haha
